New for 2026: Join us on a journey around “Our Music Planet”. A festival of four world music concerts, celebrating the sounds, melodies and rhythms of the music, and showcasing a veritable smorgasbord of classical/traditional instruments from different regions of the world - intricate, melodic and soulful classical Raagdhari music of northern India, upbeat grooves and soulful rhythms of Latin America, traditional Senegalese Mandinkan melodies and irresistible Afro-blues and rich, distinctive and heartfelt Turkish, Kurdish and Middle Eastern music and song. This is music that everyone can enjoy! Tickets available for individual concerts or one ticket for all four concerts at a special discounted price.
The Festival of World Music kicks-off with a celebration of the music from the Indian sub-continent. We welcome the Singh Strings to Calstock Arts for their first performance at the Old Chapel. The trio is a truly family affair. Led by Sitar maestro, Dharambir Singh MBE, he is accompanied by his two talented sons Kaviraj Singh (Santoor/Voice) and Upneet Singh (Tabla). Weaving together melodic improvisations, rhythmic cycles, and soulful compositions, the ensemble creates an immersive listening experience that transcends cultural boundaries. The concert will transport you on a soulful journey through a selection of beautiful ragas.
